  We Welcome you to the Town of Howey-in-the-Hills and are pleased to have you as a customer of the Water System for the Town.  Our goal is to provide you with quality water and quality service.  If you have a question about your bill or a problem that needs attention, please do not hesitate to call and let us help you.

Monday – Thursday 9:00a.m.- 5:00p.m. 

Friday 9:00a.m.- 4:00p.m.  

Public Works 324-2526  

Monday - Friday 8:00a.m.- 4:00p.

Closed for lunch 12:00p.m.- 1:00p.m.

    Water Deposit:    

Deposit is $150.00 and a $30.00 Turn on fee. Only the $150.00 deposit is a refundable amount.

Water Rates:

Minimum bill $21.85 per month for the first 10,000 gallons; $1.10 for each additional 1,000 gallons.

Due Date:

On or before the 15^th of the month.  Payments received after 9:00 a.m. will be recorded the following business day.  Payments may be mailed or brought to Town Hall Monday through Thursday, 9:00a.m. to 5p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or placed in the drop box available by the front door.

   Late Charges:

A 10% penalty will be assessed on payments received after the 15^th of the month.

Delinquent Bills:

Accounts that are delinquent will be subject to discontinuation of service for non-payment.  Any account shut off for non-payment will be assessed a $50.00 reconnection fee during normal business hours and $75.00 after hours.  

Garbage & Recycling:

Garbage collection is each Monday and Thursday morning, curbside. Please have your garbage and recycling curbside by 6:00a.m.  Recycling is each Thursday morning, curbside.  Onyx has a 72 hour pickup which allows you to dispose of large items such as furniture and appliances.  To schedule  a 72-hour pick up please call 429-2009 and someone at Onyx will be glad to assist you.  There is no charge for the 72-hour pick up with Onyx. The charge for garbage pick up is $20.50 per month, recycling is included.
